Carlow & South Leinster Rape Crisis Centre delivers specialist training in working within the area of sexual violence to qualified, pre-accredited counsellors, psychotherapists, volunteers and other professionals working in a variety of health care and education settings. This training provides the knowledge, understanding and skills for working in this multifaceted area.
With over 25 years of experience working with survivors of sexual abuse and violence, CSLRCC draws on its extensive knowledge in the field while incorporating the theory behind sexual violence, trauma, healing and self-care. It is designed to build on the existing knowledge and skills of participants and equip them to work within this environment in an understanding and compassionate way.
The training is delivered over 3 weeks for 2 days per week. Once the training is complete, participants have the option to volunteer with Carlow & South Leinster Rape Crisis Centre.
